PADI RESCUE Diver
Learn to prevent and manage problems in the water, and become more confident in your skills as a diver.
The rescue diver course is a challenging one requiring physical and mental resilience. Rescue divers need to hold the EFR qualification or comparable first aid qualification. Ideally candidates commencing the rescue diver course should be suitably experienced, and confident in their own diving skills. They must be able to demonstrate excellent buoyancy skills.
The theory session includes
- Problem identification and solving
- Solution thinking
- The psychology of rescues
- Managing emergency situations
The practical sessions include:
- Helping a panicked or distressed diver
- Helping a diver low an air
- Aiding an injured diver
- Rescuing an unresponsive diver
- Accident scene management
