Diving Courses in South Wales – Advanced Open Water.

 

A certified Advanced Open Water Diver is licensed to dive to 30 metres. The course comprises a theory element plus multiple choice examination. The theory courses expands on the principles learnt in the Open Water course. You will learn about factors you need to consider when diving down to depths of upto 30 metres.
The open water training comprises of 5 dives normally spread over two weekends.

Typically the dives might include some of the following:

  • Deep dive between 18 and 30 metres
  • Wreck exploration
  • Buoyancy control
  • Navigation
  • Multi – level dive
  • Sea dive
  • Boat dive

The course price includes:

  • Advanced diving manual
  • Diving equipment*

Entrance fees to dive sites (excludes cost of boat trip)

*Although dive equipment is included, divers achieving the Advanced Open Water level ideally should consider starting to purchase their own equipment to ensure they continue diving on a regular basis. Please see equipment section for advice and guidance.
